Today Vermont counties saw a range of criminal incidents on October 22 and 23, 2024. In Addison County, police cited two men for DUI and driving with a suspended license, while in Bennington, a shoplifting suspect was apprehended. Caledonia police arrested a man for assault after a domestic incident, and Burlington reported a spike in vehicle break-ins. Across Essex, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties, authorities are investigating cases of vandalism, arson, and burglary. Meanwhile, drug distribution, hit-and-run incidents, and home invasions were reported in several counties, with ongoing investigations.
Addison County: Vermont State Police cited John A. Cunningham, 50, for driving with a criminally suspended license and multiple violations in New Haven. Separately, they cited William Cash, 46, for DUI after responding to a minor crash in Panton on Oct. 22.
