The group reported a disturbing trend of individuals approaching homes under false pretenses, attempting to draw homeowners outside or gain entry into their homes.

The group strongly advises residents to avoid opening their doors to strangers making such requests. Instead, they suggest calling the police or offering to contact a tow truck or other assistance from a safe distance. Special emphasis was placed on informing elderly residents and neighbors of these tactics, as they may be more vulnerable to such schemes.
