Addison County: Vermont State Police responded to multiple reports of an active fight on the side of Route 7 near the intersection with Fern Lake Road in Leicester on Sunday at around 10 minutes before 1 p.m. Troopers said their investigation showed that Megan Amoroso, 35, of Brandon intentionally caused bodily injury to a household member. Bennington County: On September 25, 2024, members of the Bennington Police Department, assisted by Homeland Security Investigations, Vermont National Guard Counterdrug, Bennington County State’s Attorney’s Office, Bennington County Sheriff’s Office and United Counseling Service, executed a search warrant at 527 South Street in the Town of Bennington. During the execution of the warrant, a total of eight offenders were taken into custody. Read more

Chittenden County: SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A bicyclist pulling a trailer in Vermont died after he was struck by a police cruiser, state police said. The crash happened just before 3 a.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 7 in South Burlington. Read more
Essex County: FERDINAND — A single-vehicle rollover crash on VT RT 105 near Lewis Pond Rd left a 79-year-old woman trapped for hours before she was rescued early Thursday morning. Read more

Grand Isle County: In the face of increased drug use and violence, at least one courthouse in Chittenden County has resorted to what essentially amounts to almost entirely imprisoning itself behind bars with a six-foot-tall fence to the tune of over $100,000 taxpayer dollars. Read more
