Grand Larceny Charges in Starksboro

On October 23, 2024, the VSP New Haven Barracks responded to multiple reports of theft in Starksboro involving over $1,000 worth of items stolen from vehicles. Medical equipment, electronics, identification, and a firearm were among the items taken. That same morning, a stolen vehicle was found in Hinesburg, containing the stolen goods. Local law enforcement identified Anthony Seagroves, a 32-year-old Hinesburg resident, as the suspect. Seagroves faces charges including two counts of grand larceny, criminal possession of a firearm, and unlawful trespass. Currently, he is lodged at the Northwest Correctional Facility on $2,000 bail, with a court date set for January 6, 2025.

Domestic Violence and Related Charges in Salisbury

In Salisbury, the VSP New Haven Barracks were notified on September 3, 2024, of a domestic violence incident that occurred the previous evening. An investigation revealed that 25-year-old Skylar Allen of Essex had engaged in aggravated domestic assault, unlawful restraint, and criminal threatening in the presence of a child. Allen later surrendered to VSP Williston Barracks, where he underwent processing. The court released him with a citation to appear on November 18, 2024, in Addison County Superior Court, illustrating the VSP’s efforts to address domestic violence and ensure safety.

Burglary and Property Destruction in Williamstown

On October 25, 2024, the VSP Berlin Barracks received a report of a burglary in Williamstown. Witnesses observed 33-year-old Debra Christie destroying property with a hammer at a residence on Chelsea Road before gaining entry. Responding officers apprehended Christie without incident and transported her to the Berlin Barracks for processing. She faces charges of unlawful mischief and burglary, with an upcoming court appearance on December 4, 2024, in Orange County Superior Court.

Driving with a Suspended License (DLS) Incidents

Between October 16 and October 22, 2024, VSP’s A Troop cited several individuals for driving with a criminally suspended license. Among them, Daniel Tucker, 29, from Milton, was stopped by Trooper Michelle Archer in Cambridge on October 21, 2024. Tucker is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court on November 13, 2024. This enforcement emphasizes VSP’s ongoing efforts to uphold traffic laws across the state.
