Did You Know? Consolidated Plan Citizen Participation

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) uses a variety of public input methods in developing the five-year Consolidated Plan Strategic Plan and annual Action Plans to ensure that all Vermonters have an opportunity to participate in planning how the State spends its housing and community development resources. These are guided by the Department’s (this is the plan ->citizen participation plan which outlines the steps the Department takes when developing or making a substantial amendment to the Consolidated Plan. The current plan covers the period 2015-2019 including program year July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020.

2020 Consolidated Plan
A new 5-year Consolidated Plan Strategic Plan for the period 2020-2024 will be developed for the period commencing July 1, 2020. DHCD is scheduling a series of four community outreach meetings in locations around the state to get your input before developing the new plan:

  • Milton – January 23, 2020 – Fire Station Community Room from 5:00-7:00pm
  • St. Johnsbury – February 19, 2020 – Welcome Center from 5:00-7:00pm
  • Castleton – TBD
  • Springfield – TBD
