This morning, Thursday, Jan 13, the House Judiciary Committee took up gun control bill S.30. The hearing started with a walk through of S.30 with amendments, by Legislative Council

Then several witnesses in favor of S.30 testified. Some from national gun control groups.
At 1:14:35 (1 hour, 14 minutes) into the hearing video Chris Bradley, the President of the
Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs, testified. He used his excellent PowerPoint presentation to make his testimony easy to grasp.

After returning from lunch the committee started with Chris Bradley speaking for two minutes in wrapping up his testimony.
At 2:20 (2 minutes, 20 seconds) Conor Casey, Executive Director, GunSense Vermont.
Pay attention to his repeated comments about S.30 being a starting point and about future gun control campaigns.
Next at 10:00 (10 minutes) came Henry Parro of Parro’s Guns. Henry gave testimony about FFLs processing purchases and the NICS system used for pre-buy gun sales checks.
At 35:40 (35 minutes, 40 seconds) William Moore, of the Vermont Traditions Coalition, testified against S.30 and the present gun control amendments.
Committee Chair Maxine Grad related that Eric Davis, Gun Owners of Vermont, had to re-schedule his testimony to next week.
On Friday, January 14, at 1:30 PM, the committee will again take up S.30.
