According to a source at the statehouse, the House Judiciary Committee held its first, of at least two, scheduled witness hearings on Thursday morning, January 9th, 2020 beginning at 9 a.m. The next hearing for scheduled witnesses is on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 to run from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
These two hearing are for witnesses who have been invited, and scheduled, to testify before the committee. No additional public comments or testimony will be taken at that time. There is no time available for additional participants to testify due to the exisiting number of scheduled speakers.
Although there will not be any opportunity for public comments or testimony, these two hearings are open to the public for viewing and showing public support (or dissent).
